  1. Another great experience. Clint’s knocked the roof off a long time ago and indefatigably continues to point up to the massive empty space he’s created in the structure for all to see. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Do you think I need new shoes?

  2. After 65 years, it finally occurred to me why my first grade teacher separated our class into “bird” groups. On my first day of classes our teacher asked us to name a bird that had was a certain color.

First question: “What bird is yellow?” About half the class raised their hands and she picked one of the students for the answer: CANARY! She then said, “OK, these first three rows will be in the advanced group.

Second question: “Name a bird that’s blue?” Again hands went up and she picked one of the students for the answer: BLUEBIRD!. She picked four rows to be the next best group.
Then red, then black. I never understood this random selection to separate the class into “Poor, better, more better, and best.”

I picked robin for black and ended up in the “worst” group.

Then I hear that this separation of students by color occurs in the schools here. Students are grouped using walls that are painted with different colors.

This “Common Core practice to separate the class into “classes” like “Laborers, semi-skilled, highly skilled, and leaders” has been going on for YEARS!
